Krishi Jeevan Kalyan Yojana
India, being an agrarian country, places a significant emphasis on the welfare of its farmers, who are pivotal to the nation’s farming system. To support farmers and their families, the Government of India implements various beneficial schemes. Under the Chief Minister Schemes, the Government of Maharashtra has launched the Krishi Jeevan Kalyan Yojana, meaning Farmer’s Life Welfare Scheme, which aims to support the families of farmers and protect them from debt following a farmer's accidental death. The Agriculture Department of Maharashtra is responsible for implementing this scheme.
