Rashtriya Parivaar Sahayatha Yojana

Death is an inevitable part of life, but losing a family member, especially the sole breadwinner, is a heartbreaking and challenging event. This situation becomes even more dire for families living in poverty, who must face not only emotional turmoil but also severe financial instability. Acknowledging this hardship, the Ministry of Rural Development of the Government of India has sought to safeguard the financial security of such vulnerable families. Through the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Welfare Department, the Rashtriya Parivaar Sahayatha Yojana was established to assist dependents of the deceased who belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. Madhya Pradesh was the pioneer state to implement this scheme, setting an example for others.
